SES Holds Information Session on Cooperative Education Program and Summer School Program at University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign

90 undergraduate students from SES participated in the information session on cooperative education program and summer school program at University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign(UIUC) on March 1st. Vice Dean of SES, Professor Cao Long introduced the cooperation between SES and School of Earth, Society and Environment (SESE) of University of Illinois, the programs and the requirements. As Outstanding Alumni of Department of Atmospheric Sciences at Illinois, Professor Cao also shared his experiences of studying and living in Urbana-Champaign area. In the Q&A session, students discussed questions about credit hours, arrangements, etc. with Professor Cao.

After the session, several students expressed their opinion of seeing the summer school program as a good opportunity to know UIUC, its world-renowned scholars and better prepared for applying for the cooperative education program in the future.

SESE held ZJU-UIUC Workshop: Frontier in Earth Sciences in November 2017 in Hangzhou and sign the Cooperative Education Program Agreement Between The University Of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign,USA and Zhejiang University In Hangzhou, China with SESE. In 2018, SES nominated students to participate in the cooperative education program for the first time and further its cooperation with SESE reaching the intention of cooperation on summer school program.
