2021 New Year Gala Show

School of Earth Sciences (SES) held 2021 New Year gala show in Yongqian Theatre on December 25, 2020. Deputy head Zhang Fan and administration office director Yu Yijie from the First Geology Group of Zhejiang Province, dean of SES Xia Qunke, secretary of the Communist Party Committee Wang Yuan, vice dean Cheng Xiaogan,, Cao Long, Du Zhenhong, vice secretary of the Communist Party Committee Chen Ninghua, faculty and students attended the show.

First, Xia Qunke, dean of SES, delivered a speech. He used two key words, safety and progress, to summarize the year of 2020. China won the hard battle against poverty and became the only major economy with positive GDP growth in the world in 2020. Also, China is confident to score a full victory in the fight against the pandemic. In the special year, the school has made remarkable progress. Speaking of 2021, he said, let's seize the day and live it to the full, and make unremitting efforts for the creation of a beautiful future.

Xia Qunke

The award ceremony was chaired by Chen Ninghua, vice secretary of the Communist Party Committee of SES. He pointed out that in the past year, students uphold the spirit of innovation, achieved fruitful results, and strive to improve in terms of their moral, intellectual and fitness level as well as in their appreciation of aesthetics. Wang Yuan, secretary of the Communist Party Committee of SES, issued certificates for the students who won the Earth Science Scholarship. Cao Long, vice dean of SES, issued certificates for the students who won the Atmospheric Science Scholarship. Cheng Xiaogan, vice dean of SES, issued certificates for the students who won the Shizhe-Suya Scholarship.
